Changelog

v2.1.0 (2026-10-14)

  • The right Java version is picked for every install: Minecraft 26.x and newer gets Java 25, 1.20.5 to 1.21.x Java 21, 1.18 to 1.20.4 Java 17, 1.17 Java 16, older versions Java 8. The Minecraft version comes from Modrinth or CurseForge, for the other providers from the installed files. Before, every server ended up on Java 21 and packs for 26.x did not start.
  • New start command with Aikar's G1 flags. It reads the memory limit at every start: with a limit the heap is the limit minus 10 % (at least 512 MB stay free for Java itself), with unlimited memory it starts at 1 GB and may grow to half of the host memory. Forge and NeoForge start through unix_args.txt.
  • Every install is stored in the new table server_modpack_installs with Minecraft version, Java version and result. The installed pack keeps its Minecraft and Java version as well.

v2.0.4 (2026-10-14)

  • The plugin now uses the Eranio namespace and has the same file layout as the other Eranio plugins. Nothing stored in the database refers to the class names, existing installs keep working after the update.
  • README rewritten from the current code.

v2.0.3 (2026-10-14)

  • Java 25 image for the installer and runtime egg, required by Minecraft 26.1 to 26.3. Java 21 stays the default, existing servers keep their image.

v2.0.2 (2026-10-13)

  • plugin.json declares "api_version": 1, Pelican no longer warns "plugin.json does not declare an api_version"
